Maintenance type: Server Migration

Reason for Maintenance: The server your service is on is presently running CentOS 6 which has reached its End of Life (EOL) as a result, in order to ensure the stability, reliability, and security of your hosting service it is important that we move your service to a newer generation server. In order to accomplish this, we will be migrating all accounts from the cPanel Server you are currently on to a new server.

Impact: In order to ensure data consistency during the migration, please refrain from making changes to your websites during this migration window. We do not anticipate any significant downtime during this move as we are sites will be moved from one active server to another. However, there are certain changes that you must be aware of.

  • Login URL to cPanel/WHM/Webmail: Once the migration is complete the login URL to cPanel/WHM/Webmail is going to change to server8.websiteserverbox.com\

  • Change in the main shared IP: The main shared IP of the server is going to be changed to 66.85.47.200. If you use our nameservers such as ns1.websiteserverbox.com, ns2.websiteserverbox.com, ns3.websiteserverbox.com or you are a reseller with private name servers that use the following IP Addresses 107.161.23.84, 107.161.19.94, 107.191.99.10, there will be no changes required on your end, as the DNS zones will automatically be updated to the new IP as every account is moved over. If you or any of your clients are not using our DNS servers and host their DNS externally such as with CloudFlare, you will need to update the A record along with any other records that use the old IP to the new IP 66.85.47.200

  • Change in Dedicated IPs: If you have a dedicated IP or are a reseller with a dedicated IP that is shared with your sub-accounts, a new dedicated IP will be assigned to your account automatically. If you use our name servers such as ns1.websiteserverbox.com, ns2.websiteserverbox.com, ns3.websiteserverbox.com or you are a reseller with private name servers use the following IPs 107.161.23.84, 107.161.19.94, 107.191.99.10, there will be no changes required on your end, as the DNS zones will automatically be updated to the new IP as every account is moved over.

Duration: We anticipate the entire migration to take anywhere between 48 to 72 hours (usually much lesser), keep in mind your services will continue to work during this time. As and when each account is moved over to the new server, they will automatically be served from the new server, assuming that your DNS zones are hosted with us. However, please note that we will not be able to update or inform individual users as to when their specific account has been moved over to the new server, hence it is best that you avoid making changes to your websites during this time window.
